Speed FX was founded in January 2003.
When we started our entire product fitted in a suit case. We set up at the Nerang Nationals for the first time with a clothing stand 1.2m long. We soon realised the need for BMX race clothing and it was not long before we purchased a 3m by 3m gazebo.
In 2004 we were approached to supply custom/semi custom jerseys; these were launched at the NSW state titles in the October of that year. To be able to supply personalised, sublimated jerseys with a name and number on the back proved a hit with riders.This part of the business has grown to where we now supply club, team and trophy award jerseys to every state in Australia and beyond.
By now we had really out grown our 3m x 3m gazebo and graduated to a 6 m x 3m tent and even had to buy a trailer to fit it all in.
Always being asked can you supply more product we looked further into the BMX/bike industry.
In September 2006 we purchased a local bike shop known as JR Cycles in Coffs Harbour NSW. We are now able to obtain all the parts, bikes etc that BMXer’s need. This provided us with a new direction. The pro shop had grown to a whole new level.
In Dec 2008 a new pro shop trailer 6.2m long and tow vehicle was purchased and was to debut at the Nerang Nationals in the January of 2009, where it all started. However an accident on the way prevented this from happening and it was at the ACT titles in March when we finally got back on the road. Now in 2010 we are still growing and have more product than we could have ever imagined. We do our very best to have everything required in stock, however if not in stock we do our best to get the product in for you.
In Sept 2010 our new web site launched. There have been a couple of web sites along the way, branding our name out there to the BMX community. We hope that you enjoy the new one we have here now!
